Established as a civilian initiative, Anashim emerged from the national crisis of October 2023,
grounded in a deep understanding of Israel’s urgent social and security challenges. At its core
lies a powerful aspiration: to support young Haredi men who wish to combine Torah learning
with meaningful military service – without compromising their community, identity, or faith.
The directorate is led by a diverse group of business leaders – Haredi, religious, traditional, and
secular – who believe that with a professional, empathetic, and focused approach, it is possible
to create real and lasting change in Haredi enlistment.

To integrate Haredim who are not engaged in full-time yeshiva study into
military service, in a manner that respects their way of life and provides a
holistic response to security, social, and employment needs.
